Wooden Flagpoles

We make the best traditional wooden flagpoles in England from our workshop in Somerset, on the edge of Exmoor, using Oak, and Douglas fir timber. I don't know how true it is, but we have been told that we are the only traditional wooden flagpole maker in Europe. (This would explain why we often have Trade enquiries from companies that purport to make wooden flagpoles but in fact only normally supply glass fibre or aluminium flagpoles - beware!)
Our Wooden flagpoles are normally finished in either traditional white paint or clear varnish with an optional engraved brass plaque. When considering which finish would best suit you, it is worth bearing in mind that varnish normally involves slightly more maintenance than paint does. They are made in various sizes and configurations. They really look stunning in any environment and we have many letters from satisfied customers telling us how much they enjoy owning and using one of our hand made flagpoles.
We use the highest quality timber some of which is sourced locally in Exmoor from a saw mill that has been trading since 1863.
We have made flagpoles for many organisations and discerning individuals who own interesting, historic or listed buildings/gardens. These include : Historic Scotland, Royal Golf Clubs, Martello towers, the RAF, the MOD, the RNIB, Public Houses, World Famous Hotels, Historic Gardens, the Chelsea Flower Show, Famous Restaurants, Schools, Castles, Churches, Stately Homes, the odd Royal Residence and even a Deserted Village!
You are welcome to visit our workshop to see how much care and detailed work goes into each flagpole. We also work with National organisations helping them maintain their flagpoles and replacing them with exact copies when the time comes.
